Your Questions Answered
Does this work with an optic cut slide?
No. This is a solid cover plate designed to replace the OEM rear plate on a non-optic-ready slide. It includes a sealing plate, but it is not an optic mounting plate.
Will the finish hold up to holster wear?
The PVD coating is significantly more resistant to abrasion than standard bluing or Cerakote. While any finish can show wear with enough hard use, this coating is designed for durability. Our in-house test showed no marks from repeated holster insertion/removal with a polymer IWB holster.
Is the weight noticeable compared to the OEM plate?
The measured weight of 7.5 oz for the complete unit adds minimal mass. The difference is largely imperceptible in hand and does not affect the slide's cycling reliability with standard pressure ammunition.
